Fence Removal & Demolition in Fort Wayne

Leaning, rotted or just in the way, old fencing has to come out before new fencing goes in. Collier's pulls out wood, chain link and vinyl fence across Fort Wayne, posts and footings included, and hauls it all off.

Fence Removal

Fence removal is one of those jobs that looks easy from the driveway. Then you get to the posts. Old fence posts are usually set in concrete, and getting a few dozen of them out of the ground by hand is a weekend nobody enjoys. That is the part people call us about.

We take out wood privacy fence, picket, split rail, chain link and vinyl. Panels, rails, posts, gates and the concrete footings at the bottom of each post. What is left is a clean line where the fence used to be.

If a new fence is going in, timing matters. Fence companies usually want the old one gone and the line clear before they show up. Tell us when your installer is scheduled and we will get out ahead of it so nobody is standing around.

Chain link is worth mentioning separately because the metal has scrap value. We sort it out rather than sending it to the landfill with everything else, same as we do with metal roofing and siding.

We fill the post holes back in and rake the line clean. If you are seeding or laying sod afterward, it will be ready for it.

WHAT AFFECTS THE PRICE

Every job is different, so we price off a walk-through rather than a number over the phone. These are the things that actually move it.

Linear footage

Fence pricing tracks pretty closely with how many feet of it there is.

Material and height

Six-foot privacy fence is more material and weight than three-foot chain link.

Post footings

Posts set in concrete take real work to get out. Posts driven straight into dirt come up easily.

Access

Fence lines a truck can drive alongside go quickly. Lines between two houses or against a treeline mean hand-carrying.

Condition

A fence that has already fallen over is usually faster, though tangled chain link can be the exception.
